Monthly Update - June 2026

June was a full month, and a lot of what shipped came directly from players asking for it. Wand Maps are now available in the mobile app for all players. WeChat Pay arrived for annual plans in China. The video experience got a round of improvements players have been asking for, from clip navigation inside the player to better thumbnails. Our new Montages feature turns the clips Wand captures for you into a themed highlight reel automatically, no editing required. And the library kept growing, with 61 new games, customizations updated for 266 games, and 18 new maps.

Here's the full picture.

Wand already captures your best gameplay moments for you through Auto Highlights. Montages take those clips and assemble them into a highlight reel after your session, with no editing required.

Each montage is themed around how your session went, whether that's boss kills, combat highlights, or deaths and close calls. Wand picks the clips and builds the montage, so moments that used to sit unwatched in your library become something you can play back in a single click.

When a montage is ready, a notification appears in the app with a thumbnail and a Watch button. Montages also show up on that game's video page and pinned at the top of its Highlights section, so you can find them easily. With unlimited cloud storage, you don't need to worry about montages taking up space on your drive. You can always download any montages you want to keep.

Montages are live for R.E.P.O. and Elden Ring to start, with more on the way.

The Wand mobile app started as part of Wand Pro, giving members a way to browse game maps and control their customizations from their phone. This month it expanded so everyone can now download the app and use Wand Maps while they play.

Sign in to your Wand account to get started, and from there you can search for a game, open its map, and follow along while you play.

Remotely controlling your mods from the mobile app is still a Pro exclusive feature, exactly as before. If you have used Wand Maps on the web, this brings the same experience to a dedicated app, with your account and favorites carried across.

Also This Month

  • WeChat Pay for annual plans in China. Players in China can now pay for an annual Wand plan with WeChat Pay at checkout.
  • Game tools for Gothic 1 Remake. When Gothic 1 Remake launched, Wand was ready with day one support: Wiki entries for early decisions like faction choice and the blacksmithing system, Game Guide support to get help without leaving the game, Mission Explorer to see every quest laid out, and even a save editor.

  • Browse your clips without leaving the player. The video player now has previous and next navigation, so you can move through your library clip by clip from inside the player.
  • A new action menu on map pins. The Maps Explore button now opens a quick action menu with nearby pins, any checklists a pin belongs to, and related pin actions in one place.
  • A clearer voice controls prompt. The in-game prompt for voice controls is now larger, higher contrast, and stays on screen a little longer, so it is more noticeable when you launch a game.
  • Retiring the old Game Bar overlay. The legacy Windows Game Bar overlay has been retired. If you still have it installed, Wand will prompt you to remove it. Your mod controls and Game Guide live in the Wand overlay built into the app.
