Monthly Update - April 2026

April was a big month at Wand. New features, a lot of steady improvement work, and the regular pace of game updates and map support. We revamped Boosts and gave them a new home in the sidebar called Pulse. Game Guide opened up to everyone in Beta. Checklists landed on Wand Maps. Video editing came to Instant Highlights. Voice controls were added for mod activation and Game Guide. Discord Nitro joined the Pro subscription. That's a lot of things.

Pulse

Pulse brings your game queue, upcoming titles, and objectives together in one place. No more hunting around the app to figure out what's next. The queue has a cleaner layout, the objectives component is redesigned, and the upcoming dashboard is easier to scan at a glance.

It also gives you a more direct line into what Wand supports next. You can now boost titles we don't support yet straight from the game page. This is an easy way to tell us what games you want to see support for next.

Game Guide Beta

Game Guide is now open to everyone while it's in Beta, and if you haven't tried it yet, it's worth a look.

Ask it about anything from boss strategies, to item locations, to how a specific mechanic works, and get a fast and accurate answer without leaving the app. No alt-tabbing, no wiki rabbit holes, and no spoiler-filled forum posts if you don't want them.

We also introduced game context awareness to the Game Guide for Hogwarts Legacy (and soon, even more games!). Game context gives Game Guide real time information about the game state, so it understands things like location, quest progress, inventory, etc. This means you can ask questions like, "What should I do next?", or "I can't find the quest item. Am I close?" and Game Guide can tailor its responses to your specific playthrough.

Checklists on Wand Maps

If you've ever tried to 100% a game, you know how messy tracking it can get. Checklists on Wand Maps is built for exactly that.

Every collectible, encounter, quest, boss, and secret is organized by category, with progress counters so you always know what's left. Items have video and image previews so you know what you're looking for before you go find it. The filtered map view narrows things down to just what you still need. And it all syncs across web, desktop, and mobile, so your progress follows you.

We think it pairs nicely with Live Location and Teleport, so you can see where you are on the map, see what's left on your list, and get there instantly.

Also This Month

Video editing in Instant Highlights

Your clips now have a built-in editing suite. Trim them down, crop to a shareable format, or adjust the volume all without leaving the app.

Voice Controls

Wand now accepts voice input. Just say what you need, and Wand handles the rest. Press Alt+V then ask your question or activate mods. Instead of hunting through a menu or trying to remember the exact name of a toggle, just describe what you want. Voice Controls are flexible enough that you can say things like, "Can you double my run speed?".

Discord Nitro for Pro

We teamed up with Discord to offer Wand Pro members one month of Discord Nitro, on us. If you're already a Pro member, it's waiting in your rewards.

Wand Maps now syncs across all your devices

Your map filters, sidebar, selected pins, and live location now update in real time across every device you're logged into. If you're playing on PC with live location enabled, your position is visible on your phone or in a browser window simultaneously. Open a share link with different filters and you'll be asked whether to keep your settings or switch to the shared ones. Everything stays consistent across sessions without any manual setup.
