Using the Overlay
Launch your game and connect it to Wand.
Press Alt + W (default hotkey) to open the overlay.
Use your mouse to toggle mods on or off.
Click outside the overlay or press the hotkey again to close it.
You can enable, disable, and adjust the overlay from the game's settings menu. See Enabling and disabling the overlay below.
Overlay availability by game
The overlay is available for most games, but not all.
When a game supports the overlay, you'll see an Overlay option in the game's settings menu (the sliders icon on the game page, under Overlay options).
If a game doesn't support the overlay yet, you can still control mods using hotkeys, the desktop app, or the Remote app (Pro users only).

Enabling and disabling the overlay
The overlay is turned on by default. You can switch the whole feature on or off under Settings > Customization > Enable New Wand Overlay (this replaces the older Game Bar overlay).
To enable or disable it for a specific game, open that game's page in the Wand app, click the settings (sliders) icon at the top right, then open Overlay options. From here you can:
Enable or disable the overlay with the Overlay slider.
Enable notifications shown when a mod is turned on or off.
Set the notification position: Top, Center, or Bottom.
Customization options
You can personalize how the overlay behaves and looks:
Hotkey: Change the activation key in Settings > Customization > Overlay hotkey. You can choose Alt + W (default) or Alt + ` (the backtick key), to avoid conflicts with in-game controls.
Notifications: Control all overlay-related notifications. Turn them on or off and set their position (Top, Center, or Bottom).
Accessibility - Adjust high contrast, enable focus indicators, and customize accessibility settings.
Changes apply immediately and are saved for future sessions.
Compatibility
The overlay works with most games and performs best in windowed or borderless windowed mode.
In exclusive full-screen, the overlay may not always appear. If it doesn't show up, switch your game to windowed or borderless windowed mode.
The overlay may also be unavailable in games with custom rendering engines or titles that block external overlays.
Troubleshooting and tips
Overlay not working? Try switching your game to windowed or borderless windowed mode.
Overlay missing? Make sure it's enabled both globally (Settings > Customization > Enable New Wand Overlay) and for the game (Overlay options).
Performance issues? Disable the overlay and use hotkeys instead.
Want a different key? Change the overlay hotkey to avoid conflicts with in-game controls.
