App crashes or freezes
If the Wand app becomes unresponsive or crashes:
Basic fixes
Open Task Manager and force-close Wand
Relaunch Wand
Right-click and Run as Administrator
Open Wand Settings → Disable Overlay
Close unnecessary background apps that may interfere
NVIDIA graphics settings (if applicable)
For NVIDIA users, adjust 3D settings:
Open NVIDIA Control Panel
Navigate to Manage 3D Settings → Program Settings
Set:
Antialiasing - FXAA = Off
CUDA - GPUs = None
Full clean reinstall
If the issue continues:
Uninstall Wand
Delete the following folders (if they exist):
C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Wand
C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\Wand
C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\SquirrelTemp
Restart your PC
Reinstall Wand from wand.com/download
Ensure Windows and graphics drivers are fully up to date
Game crashes while using Wand
If your game crashes when using mods or connecting to Wand:
Common solutions
Disable the Wand Overlay (most common fix)
Enable mods one at a time to identify any problematic ones
Avoid extreme values with precision-based mods (e.g., large XP multipliers)
Verify game files via Steam, Epic, or your launcher
Update your game to the latest version
Exit beta branches if enrolled in test versions
Try running the game in windowed mode
Try launch the game, wait until you’re fully in the game then open Wand and click “Play”
Temporarily disable antivirus or whitelist Wand and the game EXE

Report the issue via the app
Click the “?” icon at the top right of the game page (next to the game title)
Select “Report an Issue”
Follow the steps in the virtual assistant
If the issue cannot be resolved through these steps, you’ll be prompted to leave your email and a brief summary of the problem. Our support team will then reach out via email to provide further assistance.
