Launching Games & First-Time Setup

Explore the Settings tab of the Wand app

Before you start playing, check out the Settings tab. Customize the overlay, hotkeys, and other app preferences to match how you play.

You can visit the Settings tab by clicking your Wand username, then select Settings!

Launching games with Wand

1. Go to the game page by searching for it. Click the search bar or just start typing on your keyboard to search.

2. Wand automatically detects your game. If it isn't detected, see Adding a game manually below.

3. Click Play to launch the game.

4. Enable the mods you want to use, using any of these:

  • Alt + Tab back to Wand while playing

  • The Wand overlay

  • Assigned hotkeys

  • The Wand Remote App (Pro only)

The Setup Information Popup

When you open a game, Wand may show a Setup Information popup with game-specific instructions. Review it before using any mods. It can include:

  • The required launch sequence (for example, launch the game before Wand)

  • Known limitations or compatibility notes

  • Mod activation steps

  • Stability warnings or special instructions

Click Back to return to the Game page, ****or Play to launch the game! Tick "Don't show this to me again" to dismiss this for good.

Note: This popup only appears when a game needs special setup and may reappear if there are any updates to the instructions. Not every game requires it.

Reopening Setup instructions

If you dismissed the popup by mistake, you can view the setup instructions again here:

  • Look for the information icon (?) on the game page

  • Select Setup Information to view the instructions again
