Instant Highlights explained
Instant Highlights is a feature that allows you to retroactively record and save recent gameplay clips (15 to 60 seconds) with a single hotkey press:
Quick Capture
Press Ctrl + \ (default hotkey) to instantly save the last few seconds of gameplay
Captures are made in the background with no lag or disruption
Retroactive Recording
Records what just happened, so you don’t need to anticipate moments in advance
Overlay Integration
Accessible from the Wand overlay while in-game, works smoothly alongside other Wand features
This feature ensures you never miss saving those surprise moments worth sharing or reviewing.
Clips location
Your saved highlights are automatically stored and accessible in multiple locations for easy viewing, sharing, or editing:
Wand desktop app
Browse, play, rename, download, or delete your clips
Click “Open File Location” on any clip to access it directly on your device
File system access
Highlights are stored locally on your device
You can locate them manually via Settings > Videos > Video folder
Cloud storage (optional)
If enabled, clips can be backed up to the cloud for safekeeping and multi-device access:

Once backed up, clips can be accessed across Wand installations on any device using the same account.
You can also download your clips to use with your preferred video editing software or upload them to platforms like YouTube or Discord.
Auto Clipping (Beta)
Auto Clipping is now available for READY OR NOT!
It automatically captures key gameplay moments — no hotkey needed. Available now for Ready or Not, and we’re expanding to more games soon.
To enable Auto Clipping:
To select events to clip:
Go to the Ready or Not game page
Click the Mod Settings menu
Select Auto Clipping
Check or uncheck the events to control what clips are saved
Instant Highlights availability
Instant Highlights works with all games supported by Wand, without requiring game-specific setup:
Universal support
Compatible with every game in the Wand libraryConsistent experience
The same hotkey and interface work across all supported titles
As long as Wand is connected to your game, the feature is ready to use.
Updating Instant Highlights settings
You can customize how Instant Highlights work through the Wand settings menu:
Available Customizations
Enable game videos: Enable or disable instant highlights
Video Quality: Adjust resolution and compression settings
Highlight Length: Choose how much time to save (between 15–60 seconds)
Audio Recording: Enable or disable sound capture
Video record hotkey: Customize the hotkey used to record game videos
Enable cloud storage: Enable or disable cloud storage
Choose when your clips are uploaded: Applicable for cloud storage
Changes apply immediately and affect all future recordings. You don’t need to restart Wand or your game.
