General
Q: What is happening to WeMod?
A: We're evolving our brand name from WeMod to Wand to better reflect our vision. We're the same company, same team, same platform you know and trust. This is simply a name change that better represents our expanded capabilities beyond just mods.
Q: Why are you changing the name?
A: WeMod made it sound like we only do mods, but over the years we've grown to offer maps, guides, and other gaming assistance tools. The name "Wand" better captures our mission of making gaming magical by making games more accessible and giving players the tools they need to enhance their gaming experience.
Q: When is this happening?
A: The rebrand is happening now - you may notice the name change and some visual updates throughout the platform. We'll be making additional announcements and updates over the coming months as we continue evolving the platform.
Q: Is WeMod going away?
A: No - we're simply changing our name to Wand. Everything else stays the same. Same company, same team, same platform, same features.
Technical & Account
Q: Will my account/subscription still work?
A: Yes, absolutely. Your account, subscription status, settings, and preferences will carry over automatically. Nothing changes about your service.
Q: Do I need to create a new account?
A: No. Your existing WeMod account automatically becomes your Wand account. All your information transfers over seamlessly.
Q: Will my Pro subscription still be active?
A: Yes. If you have WeMod Pro, you now have Wand Pro with all the same benefits. Your billing continues as normal with no interruption.
Q: Will my favorite trainers/mods still work?
A: Yes. All existing trainers continue to work exactly as they did before. Your hotkeys, settings, and saved configurations remain unchanged.
Q: Do I need to download a new app?
A: No new download required. The app will update automatically through your normal update process.
Q: Will my game save files be affected?
A: No. The rebrand does not affect your game files or save data in any way.
Q: I can't find Wand in my Start Menu/Applications
A: The app may still appear as "WeMod" in your Start Menu, taskbar, and system applications list while the visual rebrand rolls out. The same shortcut/icon will open Wand (formerly WeMod).
Q: The icon under my pinned taskbar shortcut is still showing the WeMod logo.
A: This usually happens if you pinned the WeMod app before the update. Simply unpin and then re-pin the app to your taskbar, and you’ll see the new Wand logo appear!
Q: It says I’ve updated to Wand, but my taskbar icon still shows the WeMod logo.
A: This can happen if the app was pinned to your taskbar before the update. Try unpinning and re-pinning the app — that should refresh the icon to the new Wand logo. If the issue persists, please reach out to our support team at [email protected] with screenshots so we can assist you further.
Billing & Subscription
Q: How will this affect my billing?
A: Your billing remains exactly the same. Same price, same billing cycle, same payment method. The only change is that your statements may show "Wand" instead of "WeMod."
Q: Will prices change?
A: No price changes are associated with the rebrand.
Q: If I'm having a billing issue, who do I contact?
A: Contact us the same way you always have. Our support team and billing systems remain unchanged.
Q: Can I still get refunds under the same policy?
A: Yes. All our policies, including refunds, remain exactly the same.
Feature & Functionality
Q: Are you removing any features I currently use?
A: No features are being removed. Everything you use now will continue to work exactly the same way.
Q: What new features are coming?
A: You can expect more game guides, maps, accessibility & guidance tools in the future. We’re working on some exciting stuff that we can’t wait to share.
Q: Will the interface/app look different?
A: You'll see visual and layout updates reflecting the new Wand branding (logo, colors, name references), but the functionality remains exactly the same.
Q: Are you adding AI features?
A: We're focused on building practical tools that solve real gaming problems, not adding AI just because it's trendy. Some of our features use AI, but we build these to be genuinely useful, not to show off tech. If a feature helps remove barriers to fun, we'll build it!
Gaming Community
Q: Does this mean you're abandoning the modding community?
A: Not at all. Mods remain core to who we are, but we've grown to support more than just mods. This rebrand reflects our commitment to helping all gamers, whether through mods, guides, maps, or other tools.
Q: Will you still support older games?
A: Yes. Our commitment to supporting a wide range of games, including older titles, remains unchanged. However, please note that if a trainer is marked as retired, it means we’re no longer able to provide updates or support for it.
Q: Are you going to focus only on new AAA games now?
A: No. We continue to support games across all categories - indie, AAA, new releases, and classic titles.
Q: What about my favorite trainer creators?
A: We still employ the same creators and provide them with infrastructure support and tooling to make their lives a little easier! The rebrand doesn't change our relationship with the creator community.
Communication & Support
Q: How do I contact support now?
A: Use the same support channels you always have. Our support team and processes remain unchanged.
Q:I'm in the middle of a support ticket - will it still be handled?
A: Absolutely! Our support team and processes remain the same. The only change is that emails will now come from Wand instead of WeMod. To ensure you don’t miss important updates, please whitelist our new domain.
Q: Will I still get emails about updates?
A: Yes, though emails will come from Wand instead of WeMod. Make sure to whitelist our new domain to avoid missing important updates.
Q: Where can I find official announcements?
A: Our main communication channels remain the same: Mainly our Discord community and in-app notifications. Along with the launch of the new brand, we’ve also started the Wand Blog! We’ll use the blog to post news, tutorials, product updates, and more. We'll also continue sending email updates to subscribers.
Q: Can I opt out of email communications about the rebrand?
A: You may notice some transactional emails, like payment or account related emails, mention the rebrand to make you aware of the fact that WeMod is now Wand. You cannot unsubscribe from transactional emails like these, however, you can opt out of our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of those emails. If you don’t see an unsubscribe button, it means that particular email isn’t eligible for opt-out.
Transition Concerns
Q: This feels sudden - why wasn't there more warning?
A: We understand this might feel sudden, but we've been building toward this for a long time. We've put in a lot of work to ensure a smooth transition over a lengthy announcement period to minimize disruption.
Q: What if I don't like the new name?
A: We understand change can be difficult. The important thing is that the features you love remain exactly the same - only the name is changing. Give it time, and we think you'll see how "Wand" better represents what we do for your gaming experience.
Q: Are you being bought by another company?
A: No, this is purely a rebrand. Same ownership, same team, same independent company. We're simply updating our name to better reflect what we've become over the years.
Website & Mobile App
Q: What happens to wemod.com?
A: WeMod.com will continue to exist and function normally for now, and you can download Wand from either wemod.com or our new wand.com domain.
Q: Will my bookmarks still work?
A: Yes, all your existing wemod.com bookmarks will continue to work normally. You can also bookmark the same pages on wand.com if you prefer to use the new domain.
Q: What about links I've shared?
A: Any WeMod.com links you've shared will continue to work. The platform is accessible through both domains, so shared links remain functional.
Q: What about the mobile app?
A: The mobile app will be updated with the Wand branding sometime after launch and will otherwise function exactly as it does now.
